purchasing the HH's by-pass meant that I didn't have to do any soldering 8)

with this bypass adapter and a cc bec do I still have to disconnect the red wire from my esc? Threads a little old, but at least I used the search button lol.

...no

the ESC's internal BEC will power the RX
whereas the Ext. BEC powers the servo.

you dont have to cut or disconnect anything. it dedicates the bec power to the servo so you can keep that red wire from the esc powering the rx.
