Default Puller Pro Brushless 4 pole Rock Crawler motors- Lay down the Power!

Discussion on the v2 of the Puller Pro starts here Puller Pro Brushless 4 pole Rock Crawler motors- Lay down the Power!

It is officially time to announce our Puller Pro BL lineup of motors! We have been working for years to bring together the right mix of quality, power, smooth startup, and great value. Now we are ready to tear things up with our own line of high quality 4 pole sensored motors!

Holmes Hobbies LLC

We have three lengths currently available. 540S "Stubby", 540, and 540XL.

-The 540S is a short can at only 44mm, yet packs the same length internals found in most regular "540" size 4 pole motors such as the Castle 1406 and Tekin Pro4. Don't let the small size and weight fool you, it has serious potential inside! The rotor and stator is tuned for extremely controllable startup, making it a great match for all sorts of vehicles.

-The 540 is a regular 540 size can at 53mm long, and has similar length internals to the Castle 1410 or Tekin Pro4 HD. 540 size but 550 power! The rotor and stator is tuned for extremely controllable startup, making it a great choice for rock racers and heavy rigs that need precise control.

- The 540XL is 63mm long, and could be classified as a 550 style motor if we cared about racing rules. We developed this motor for heavy and fast rigs like the Axial Yeti. It is basically an 1/8th scale motor crammed into a 36mm x 63mm case. We tuned the rotor and stator for best loaded efficiency and punch, so it gives up a little startup finesse in exchange for cooler running and highest power. Absolute beasts!

Currently the Kv choices range from 3300 to 3500 KV. Any tech questions or future KV suggestions? Post em up! For installation and specific vehicle support, please email or call us direct at Holmes Hobbies. Although I will try my best to answer questions here, I cannot always spend the time and you will get faster and more reliable support through my customer service department.

I've been running an early version of the Standard 540 in my rock racer for a while now. POWER!!

I'm really interested in trying out the XL and the stubby for different rigs. It's nice having a few options to choose from.

This thing is a beast!!!
Go the stubby version due to the ToyZuki front mount.
Now I need the standard 540 for the Twin Hammers.

Trailmaster BLE Pro no doubt.

Been running mine pretty hard several times a day for a couple of weeks and I am running out of spare parts! This combo is axle snapping, drive shaft mauling torque from the git go. Requires restraint on the trigger...not my strong suit

A little stiff at first on start up but after beating the piss out of it with back to back packs and a lot of WoT action it smoothed out a lot. Hoping for another firmware update for the BLE Pro but even as is I would not trade this motor for anything else out there.

I had to set mine to 50% power and it's still crazy for my driving style!

I am about to purchase one of these motors with waterproofing, can I request that castle creations 4mm bullets be installed on the wires?

They come with 4mm compression bullets on them. They are not Castle Creations brand specifically, but are the same style.

Change the BLE switching frequency to 8k and drag will improve.

I would like to see a XL version in the 2200-2400KV range for 4S use. There is a real lack of 550 motors in the KV range suitable for 4S, its basically Tekin only for anything under 3000KV.

I'm just wondering what everyone else is gearing their yeti's with?

I'm at 13/68 right now.. Wondering if I should have left the 64 on. (Running 3s with the Holmes ESC)
