| Have you visted Holmes Hobbies lately?
Head on over to www.HolmesHobbies.com to check out all the new goods! I have added Loose cells, Temp guns, Motors, Chargers, Motor and ESCs for bashers, Battery building supplies, and will soon complete the Custom Built Pack sectio. I aim to become a full service electronics store for all kinds of vehicles! Let me know what you think, and what brands you would like to see. In the future I plan on including Lipo and servos as well. I also have many harnesses and extensions on the way. Im working on diagrams for the custom built packs. Is this clear in your option, and what other pack configurations would you want? Offset brick is on the list and Clod under the knuckle packs are as well. |

Sweet, Is there any higher MAH 2/3 cells? like 2000+? If not ill probably buy a over-a-servo pack, and put my esc on top of the battery. |

Ahh, I am going to be ordering some stuff today but have some questions. First up is a pinion gear to go in my Pede Trans with a 65 integy lath and 87 spur gear.Any recomendations for good crawling ability along with descent wheel speed using TLT axles and 2.2 msher 2Ks? Second is do you have motor caps or do I even need to run them? Third, should I run a 6 or 7 cell and can you wire them up as two seperate packs with a seperate pigtail wire so I can unplug each pack seperately for easy removal as I plan on running one pack in the front and one in the rear? Fourth, should I go with the 1400s or 1500s for my setup? It is a tuber weighing just under 4 lbs without batteries or speed control but I have not added any weights to the wheels yet. The only thing for electronics I can think of is some type of external BEC. One that can handle high input voltage and can put out some good voltage and amperage. UBEC's are used quite a bit in large buggy and truggy electric conversions, so it wouldn't just have to be marketed to the crawling community.

Second is do you have motor caps or do I even need to run them? I would, dont need to though Third, should I run a 6 or 7 cell and can you wire them up as two seperate packs with a seperate pigtail wire so I can unplug each pack seperately for easy removal as I plan on running one pack in the front and one in the rear? 7 cell, and yes its called a saddle pack then just have him put a male and female deans between the saddles Fourth, should I go with the 1400s or 1500s for my setup? Thanks ClodCrawlin now I need confirmation from Johnrobholmes to see if he can get me set up with these items. As far as the Caps Yeap I figured they were a good idea it was just I have seen some machines without them on here. So if Johnrobholmes could set me up with a set it would be great. I checked the site but did not see anything. As far as the pinion I will try the 16 but will also get the 15 just incase maybe even a 17 to carry along. I will go for the 1500s in a 7 cell with a 4 and a 3 cell saddle pack confing with Deans Ultras. I also have to find an inexpensive ESC as Holmes does not list inexpensive ones to get me going. |

All the suggestions have been noted, thanks guys! Im waiting for the right BEC to come out before I buy one. UBEC is huge, the knockoff UBEC is wimpy, switching regs are expensive still, and linear regulators dont work for most people. There is one coming out within a few months to solve this though. Digital, cheap, powerful, tiny. Im just waiting. |

Unfortunalty I cannot find a decent supplier for them. I have been trying for quite a while. There are only a few venues to get them through, and I am not a brick and morter storefront which limits what I can get.

Have you thought about servo's and servo horns. I need to buy somre GOOD servos again, mine are wore out. Also for the people that like mud/water. A tub of dielectric grease would be great as I can only find small squeeze tubes of the stuff. Is that why you don't have novak stuff, no store front? |
