It would work, but the tight tolerences and small stator gap will not like any contaminants. I am actually working on an outrunner with a larger stator gap for running in nasty conditions. It is every bit as big, but cheaper in design and construction. You could also go with a GWS outrunner for playing in water and mud, as it is pretty cheap too.

Raptor, I'm really curious, I can understand wanting to add some lightweightness (LOL) but why are you wanting to take a couple of inches out of your wheelbase? What wheelbase are you shooting for? So John, to get a motor having the same or better performance/wheelspeed than a 3025-8, but on less cells like Raptor is asking about, the motors would have to be custom wound? Do you expect the new motors you are working on "that are bigger than 3025's but are still in the proto stage " will provide any advantages over the 3025-8? Also JRH, earlier in this thread it sounded like it is someone may be making/selling custom knuckles for knuckle packs. If they are being made, I wonder what axles they fit? Twin Force I hope! |

| I talked with my contact today, and the date was pushed to June 1st shipping from the factory But, it shouldnt take long to reach me and one week off is actually the best I have ever had a factory stay on schedule! Of course I already added two weeks into the original quote just in case, and they had a one week Chinese holiday too All that is left is for the flat spots on the shafts and to assemble them. So, to be safe I will say that they should ship by June 14th from me to you with hopes that it will be much before then. |

I am going to see how many motors would have to be produced to get a custom wind. I can get a few proto's but it wont be cheap. The only real advantage the 3032's will provide is more power really, the efficiencies and construction is not very different. | |
