I just happen to be located in the middle of the U.S., with the major hub located in my town. Columbia is also on the interstate, so everything shipped before about 7pm gets onto the highway on the same day.

I'm looking at the Castle BEC and have a few questions.

For one what is the differece bewteen the Castle Bec and this other BEC that you carry on your site? http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=13&page=1

Does the Castle BEC have a voltage cutoff for lipo's if I was to use the BEC without a Esc?

To me it looks like the Castle BEC Is just programmable were as this bec just has to modes, 5v and 6v. http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=13&page=1

THanks

The difference between the Castle BEC and the Cool BEC is the programming and the amperage handling. The Cool BEC is 3a and either 5v or 6v. The Castle BEC is 7a and can be programmed from 4.8 to 9v with the castle link. In a 2.2 the Cool BEC is plenty. In a super the Castle BEC is recommended.

Thanks John.

So the Castle does not or have any way to be programmed for the 3v cutoff for running lipos?

Oh yes, neither BEC has lipo cutoff on them, so you would have to time the run or use them with an ESC with lipo cutoff. There really isn't any reason to use a seperate pack to power the BEC unless your main pack is 5 cells nimh and you want more power to the servos.

It does not at this time, but we are discussing making this an option via the Castle Link. It would have to be accompanied by a BIG pop up message stating something to the effect of "you do realize that if your pack drops to this voltage you will lose complete control of the vehicle, correct?", and you would check off a box saying "yes" or "no". I'm sure we'll be discussing this more in the future. I'll keep you all updated.
