I'm curious about the 14t pullers too. I'm ready to get one this friday. If not I'll get the 10t. When will these be in stock?

Is there an estimated time on the colbalt motors to be back in stock? I seen them in action and really want one or more.

Looks like these motors may be done for good. I have springs and brushes here, and armatures too. I can't get any more cans to my knowledge though. Bummer, I thought I had about 50 more left. Thread locked until I find some cans or get my replacement motor done.

And I found some cans to tide us over for a bit.

We have 7 and 14t armatures here ready to build up complete motors. Any other requests for special winds?

And perfect timing too. By the time these cans start to peter out I will have the 550 brushed replacement going.

Ok, you guys worked through the 14t versions pretty fast. I won't have more of the 14t for a while unless I get more blanks. We are getting 10t and 7t arms finished right now, I should know in a few days how soon they will be done.

If you are looking to preorder some 6, 7, or 10t armatures post up and I can help you out. If you are really looking for a 14t you will have to let me know so that I can get more blanks made. Otherwise I will wait a month or two for the 14t arms.

Yes, the 10t will hold up to 4s. It wears it out a bit faster of course.

John,

Got my puller today. I ordered a 14T, but the sticker on the can says 7T. I won't mind if it is a 7T, but need to know before I hook 6s to it.

Thanks,
Bernie

I have this setup but I've been way to afraid to run it. How's the heat situation? Any suggestions on gearing, what setup you're running ect?

Thanks in advance.

I have not really crawled it yet. I just got it going lst night. I'm going crawling later today, so I'll post up later on how it works along with the rig specs.

Hi John, think I already talked to you already about this but with my 1/10th scale 8x8 HEMTT that will have a lift crane to put smaller trail rigs in the back,I have a 7t puller hooked up to the RC4WD super duty R2 tranny. Is the 7 turn going to give me enough power to haul my rig up different inclines without looking like its going to stall out?I haven't figured out the gearing yet though.

Sorry for the late update.

So here is my rig
Axial Honcho (base)
13"wb
2.2 flat irons
Stock ring and pinion
Stock spur gear
running 6s with a 19t pinion the motor would get warm/hot after about 15 min of crawling
I picked up a 5s battery and with the same set up crawled for around an hour and the motor was just slightly warm.

Overall I'm really happy with the torque and control with this combo. Now I just need to squeeze a little more wheel speed out of it. I'm going to try to play with 5s larger pinion, and 6s smaller pinion. Any input would be great.

Hey John,

Got my 14t puller today.. What size pinion does it take? I pulled the one off of my 25t torquemaster hand wound and the shaft is bigger diameter on the puller..
