Thanks John, I sorta assumed it would be ok. The comm is nice and shinny, do you think flipping the brushes around might get rid of it? I spoke with the seller of this and he did say that it was sitting out in his garage for a little while unused. I have put 2 packs through it now(about 1 hour drive time) and it hasn't gotten any better, should it clear up by itself if there is contamination on it? Is there something I can do to the brushes to clean them up? Thanks for your reply.

Whoa! Put the oil and comm drops down.

Look for a commutator stick, it's like a small VERY fine sandpaper stick. You use it to take the glaze off of the brushes and commutator for a better electrical connection.

Otherwise, buy new brushes.

Thanks, I have heard that comm drops allow the brush dust to clump and cause more problems down the road, what could happen from using it? Hey, John were would I get new brushes for the yokomo white labled torque master? I think this may solve my problem and were would I find one of those comm/brush sticks? How do you clean the comm with it? Thanks for you thoughts EeePee.

Reedy brushes are interchangable. I don't know if your motor is standup or laydown. Yokomo, probably standup.

While back JRH said it was around 1200 kv.

1200 x 7. 4 = 8,800
1200 x 11.1 = 13,320
1200 x 14.8 = 17,280
1200 x 22.2 = 26,640

I am sure glad to hear that. I was thinking it was around 750 and was going to have to rethink my build.

Wes,

Please read our terms and conditions, linked in bold on my front page http://holmeshobbies.com/help.php?section=conditions. While your shipping time is 3 to 5 days, I have to process the order first. That takes 2 to 4 days currently. I was gone over the weekend to a trade show and it got me on the tail end of processing time as well. I haven't seen an email from you, maybe I missed it or it got caught in my spam filter.

Mail just came and no motor yet. I understand that there is processing time but I got charged on the 8th so I figured being that I was charged on the 8th it had been processed. Maybe Ill see it next week. Sorry but being patient has never been my strong point.

ideal motor temp is as cold as possible. Max recommended temp is 160f measured on the can.

John, is there a max rpm for the 7t puller? Can I run it on 4-cell lipo for short amounts of time? It would be running around 45,000 rpms. Thanks, Tim.

4s lipo will destroy it. 3s can ruin it too. The 7 slot arm just wont take RPMs like a 3 slot.
