Hey I was just curious if the holmes hobby crew had ever thought about making a replacement motor for the summit. All your products seem to have a one up on everyone else's. Not sure if it is something that could or would make you money but its always a thought. I know I would buy one for sure. Unless you already have something large enough or with enough power, if so let me know please. A br xl and a holmes 775 sized motor would be awesome.

Hey John. I have a Torquemaster Pro 35T and a Torquemaster Expert 45T. Just for shits and giggles I took the 35T arm out of the original can and dropped it in the Expert can. Do the magnets loose their strength over time? The 35T arm seems to have more resistance in the Expert can than the Pro can, but as far as I have read you use the same magnets in both. This is with no brushes, just the arm and the endbell to keep it centered. Just wanted to know if maybe it would be better to use the Expert cans since I've only had them for about a month and a half. Or if less resistance is better. Thanks.

Did you ever overheat the motor? That would cause the Pro can to lose some magnet strength. The magnets are the same between the two, so except that you don't have brushes on it they will feel the same.

It is quite possible the Pro can got over heated at some point since it has been in my scaler. I'm in the process of switching to 35T's in my Mantis so I will just go ahead and use the Expert cans since I know they are still in good condition. I appreciate the help and quick response.

| Re: (HH) Tech Questions and Customer support thread Alright awesome. I will use the Expert cans with the 35T's and get with you about sending the can to you to have you bring it back to life. I have another 35T Pro on it's way to me so I will wait until I get it and see what it's like. Maybe just send them both to you. Thanks John.

Hi John, I received my news cans stage 3 for my Torque Master Pro. In the old can there are springs between the magnets. Is it necessary to put these springs in the news cans ? Thank you. Thierry Last edited by TC94; 11-15-2012 at 12:07 AM. |

HH, old timer, long time gone. i need a makeover for the ol' chevy crew cab. heavy 1.9 scale truck for scale comps. spectrum radio if it matters. need a ready to go system with low end grunt and wheel speed. as well as going all day on a battery. can i have my cake and eat it too? i need the best waterproof brxl and motor combo with the longest runtime best performing lipo you have. reasonable size i guess. id like to wire them together for lots and lots of run time. i was running dual 6 cell stick pack nimh before. i also need a charger for these lipos. make it happen. kickass motor esc batteries and charger. paypal is on fire. |

Thierry, The little springs are only for assembly, they add unneeded weight. You paid for lightening so we took em out! obijuan, I would suggest a system with the ability to use two batteries. One for scale comps, nice and small for best performance. Then another for trail days if you want hours and hours of runtime. A 1300mah pack is a great size for having burst current but not being too huge and bulky. For a regular pack, a 3200mah size in 3 cell is like a regular stick pack. Not sure if you want to go that big or have the space, but that is an "all day" type of pack. ESC and motor combo- longest runtime and best performance are at odds with each other. The more power, the lower runtime. Typically a 27t is the most popular choice for scaling I have found. I can set you up with the full combo no problem. Hit me up with an email and we can discuss the finer points of your needs further. |

My savage crawler idea didnt pan out. Can i run a pair of 550 esavage motor or 550 emaxx motors off my brxl. Would a brxl run a couple of dewalt drill motors. What are the brxl limits for big brushed motors like that. Thanks

I see a motor lead option with motor purchase, I did not find a connector adder. Can I get a motor from you with leads & a deans connector installed? How much of an adder is it? Idealy I would like 3" of wire & a female deans on my motor all soldered up by a pro like you. |

We haven't tested drill motors with the BRXL, so I can't comment on how they will react. It would be $6 for a set of leads with deans, per motor. You can purchase additional labor from our labor section and put a note in the order about it, along with which deans side you want. |

Wonderfull! Thanks for a quick response. My Novak 55 burned up this last weekend & a 35T from you is the next step. If you have the time can you tell me what component in my motors make the white smoke & what is actually happening? |

It was more than likely the wire burning up from being bound down, or the commutator burning up from dirty brushes.
