No, but I think you are referring to max charge per cell, not nominal running voltage.

a123 is 3.3v/cell nominal. Depending on the charger they can "peak" from 3.6 to to 4.2v/cell. 3.8v/cell is a standard charge to push them a bit hard, chargers with a123 mode cutoff at 3.6v/cell. They can take upwards of 4.2v each before they start to blow, but even at this high voltage the cells can be cycled again and again with little capacity loss. I accidentally charged mine to 4.2v/cell once. Didn't hurt them from what I can tell.

I think the Devil is refering the the milawaukee cells we are running there nominal voltage is somewhere around 4.5 and the running voltage should be 4. But they are technically a a123 right? The same copmposition of cell, right? |

They are not the same. Milwaulkee cells are lithium manganese. a123 is lithium nano-phosephate.

Your asking the wrong guy. I would measure a plate in inches, divide by 12 for the scale size, and just print a few out on my printer and put it under tape. I'm more of an electronics type of guy, not so much a scale guru. |

How does your handwound 35t compare to the 35t Warrior?

Would you recommend a HHH for a go-fast clod? Which one? I want wheelspeed for huge roosts with Maxx-size Paddles and torque to break traction on dirt with HPI Dirt Claws. I'd really love to run 12 cells just for bragging rights. Heavy go-fast clod, 1/6 tuber.. maybe I'm asking too much? |

| They are very similar, but mine use a two magnet can instead of a 4 magnet. It makes a bit more torque at a small sacrifice to speed. Otherwise they are built with the same parts, and probably by the same winders. Quote:
Hmmm, maybe a 21t or 17t? I have never set up a clod for really fast running so I am in the dark on that one.

JRH- I am looking to cut weight in my 2.2 rig and want to go from a 35t warrior to an extremely light and small in size bl setup. which BL motor do you recommend? I also want it to be as smooth as possible. with that being said how much lighter would we be talking if you happen to know? also I am running a 2cell lipo if that helps in making a decision thanks! You will drop about 2.5 ounces going to a revolver. You will drop almost 4 ounces going to a 2215 sized outrunner. On 2 cell lipo you will really have to watch the gearing, as it will be easy to overgear and get stalling issues. An outrunner wont be as smooth as a brushed motor either- no way around that.

I see the 17t has a ~3700kv rating, will it take 12cells? That's 2 6-cell packs in series, 2 17turns in parallel. On 14.4v and stock gearing in a clod axle with maxx wheels, that should be ~45kmh, that's 28mph. The 21t should do 22mph... Do you carry any ESCs that can handle my setup? I'm thinking MM, but I don't know if it can handle 2 17ts or 21ts in parallel. Heatsinks on the motors, btw...
