Hi john

I just bought a used mamba max and was wondering if i have to hook it up as a "( high power brushed motor)" or if i have to hook it up with just the red and black wires, and let the white wire remain unhooked.

also what size puller do you recommend for an axial 10 2.2 ?
I would like more wheel speed then the 55t i have.

Default Got my tourqemaster today!

Just got my waterproof BR-XL today and can't wait to get it installed. It's going in my Hilux trail truck and I was actually wanting a little more tourqe out of the truck, still running the stock motor but have a cheapo integy 35t coming to test if I like it. What would be your suggestion on a good motor. I mainly run 7.2 nimh or 7.4 2s lipo. Can't wait to see what the BR-XL can do (crawler needs a better controller to:-P).

Too complicated to answer in a short space, but I will try to cover the basics. Laying the shocks down give more articulation but a lower shock rate (and typically falling rate suspension). I tend to stand my shocks up as much as possible, I like the way it makes the rig handle.

I would say try 3s lipo, that will put pep in the motor! Otherwise a good handwound is a great choice.

thanks for the response. just getting involved with lipo and this will be my first experience. If I like the 35t integy I plan on buying a good hand wound so that it can grow as I need it. The Integy is just a test model I guess you could say.

CMRCRC has lost most of the local members due to relocation, and I have been so dang busy with school that I haven't had much chance to get crawling again. Plus the whole weather thing Hope to get running again soon though.

I would say go ahead and plan it out, I may not even be able to participate. Between school and work I have precious few hours in a week to do much of anything.

Hi,
I need to make some type of contact with john holmes. He isn't answering e-mails and I have an order that I am waiting on for reshipping due to wrong address. I need to get some answers or a phone number to call.

I just got my HH Torquemaster installed in my 2.2 shafty. When I program it to defaults I have no issues. However, when I turn on Holmes Hold it seems very glitchy and actually makes the motor turn backwards when I move the steering servo. Am I doing something wrong?

Here's my setup:
HH TM (duh)
Tekin 45 turn
Hitec 5955
Hitec 225 (dig)
1800 3s lipo
DX3R

I will try playing with the drag brake strength to see if it cuts out. Any input is greatly apprecited!
UPDATE: I put the drag brake on 50% and with Holmes Hold on it still acting up. As soon as I turn off the Hold everything is normal!

Default BR-xl

John,

Quick question. I bought a BR-XL from you. I am running a TP 1350mah 30c 3 cell or a TP 850mah 45c 3 cell batt. "I have a castle link" Should I use the auto shut off option or should I use the custom option and change the cut off voltage to ???
How low of voltage should I go? I don't want to destroy the batteries. This is my 1st experience with lipo.

Thanks,
Neil
