The Crawlmaster Sport - Maintenance free outrunner for hassle free performance!

Announcing the next motor in the line of Crawlmaster motors, the Crawlmaster Sport. Same shape, size, and power of the original Crawlmaster, but with a lower price tag. These even seem to start up SMOOTHER than the original! The difference in construction is the magnet temperature rating and the stator plate lamination thickness. Slightly lower efficiency, same torque and crawling performance. No maintenance, high power crawling just got more affordable!

4.25 ounces
1000kv
6-12 cells nimh 2-4s lipo
100*C max operating temp
Near 1.5"x1.5" construction
Sealed can
All Black
4mm-L bullet plugs installed

More torque than most 2.2's can handle, slipper clutch is recommended.

Hey John, have you ever ran or tested a BM9 TCS motor? I am wondering how this Sport will compare.

Right now with the BM9, the start up is really annoying. It will kinda stutter when the rig reaches resistance like when trying to climb a rock from a flat. I end up having to give it so much throttle to overcome the stutter, that when it finally does go...it will go too much and not climb slowly. I've even tried adjusting the exponential on the throttle stick so I can give it more stick without having too much stick...if you know what I mean

I am using a Mamba 25 and wonder if that is my main problem. I'm running 8 cells and I'm geared at 69/8 (32 pitch) on a stock WK trans. Can't really gear it any lower...at least in the spur or pinion. Hope I don't need even more voltage, cause that 8 cell pack fits very nice on the axle and I really don't have room for many more.

Have you run this Sport with a Mamba 25 yet? Do I just need to bite the bullet and get myself the Max?

I got so frustrated with it that I ended up throwing in the 'ol 55t and TR2 till i get could it figured out.

mamba 25 is your main problem. Try a quark, L38, or mamba max ESC and you should have better luck. You don't need any more voltage.

I haven't tested the BM9, I know the specs though and it should be plenty of motor for you.

In your opinion how well would this work in a Wraith?

Probably much too slow. We don't carry these motors anymore, they are discontinued.
