I have the class 1 on my venture and the big brothers on #scx. Love the performance of them.

From a trail finder (the plastic bumper). Cut the ends off of it since the venture back end is not squared off it’s more rounded and that looked off to me. Little snip here and there and this is the final product.
Looks great, but what about cutting off the black part on rear of body and raising stock rear bumper up to compensate?

I did think about cutting body to raise the bumper but being that there is not a clear body out yet, I don’t wanna take a chance of wrecking the body just yet. I’m just looking for less weight in the rear, as well as less to get hung up on. Maybe down the road I’ll try different bumper if this one doesn’t work out.

Those 4.19 are definitely a different animal!

I have been wondering how the Rear bumper might affect things. Being so new, I can imagine that aftermarket is in the works.
Nice to see STRC as an early in on upgrades. I have also seen some 3d print items also.

Once HPI gets rolling, I would imagine the "Factory Upgrades" will be coming.

Great to see all the builds, many I recognize from the FB Page.

Keep up the great work!

Got the new battery tray and esc mount in from RC by queso del Diablo! Fits perfect, holds the esc and soon I’ll mount the winch controller on it. This should not only keep the esc up front as well as keeping it dry if the truck “accidentally” drops into deeper than the wheels water.

Snorkel has yet to arrive but new wheels and weights are on the way.

My small “mod” for the Venture. Since I removed the spare tire that rear end looked a little plain. Quick google search and came up with the FJ on the top and wanted something similar as a spare tire delete.

No where near perfect but it’ll do

That actually came from one of my sons cheap Walmart toys. Cut it down, cut notches in it for bumper and mounted it!

Yeah hopefully I can get the paint off and leave the area clean. I’ve tried the brake fluid before and it works but I’ll have to dab it on with a fine hobby brush or q tip.

Had some fun on the trails today! It was cold, snowy and wet but the truck is fantastic.

Only a few little issues and they are mainly my own. Need to mount the battery tray better, so cold the double sided tape to the “platform” came unstuck. It threw my battery and esc all around inside the truck and ended up pulling sensor plug and RC wire out of esc “shock”

Also need to adjust the front wheel wells, had a lot of snow thrown up inside the body which can be resolved by making a new set of fronts

Here’s some pics of the outing.

And of course you can’t forget the fun I had with a 3s plugged into this thing. It’s an absolute blast to drive on 3s. Grinning ear to ear. I don’t like crawling on 3s due to how much power it has!

If I can get the video to load it’s knarly! Lol

New parts are here, well some of them

GDS racing 1.9 beadlocks silver/Black
Strc orange diff covers
Strc Black pan hard bracket
Spare knuckle, chub and lockouts

I’ll get these wheels mounted up tonight but they may not go on the rig, have a set of super sexy wheels coming as well that should be here in a week or so.

Late night wrenching, got the parts on that I received today.

Threw on the growlers just to see, IMO they are a tad bit out of proportion with the body. Like 40s on a ranger

Took a few other pics at different angles to show the height difference in the hyrax 4.19 to the 4.75 growlers. Would love to have that little extra ground clearance tho!

Also redid my front wheel wells. Needed to lengthen them just a bit to keep a little more of the dirt and snow from inside the frame rails/around electrical components. Threw on my outer wares cover for this snow and mounted the battery tray properly. Cold and double sided tape does not work well together.

Have a 3D printed battery tray and esc mount coming so that’s is until I get that in. Should pair up nicely and be able to tuck/clean up wires a little better.

It is on my battery tray. I had the guy who made my battery tray make a mount that clips into the tray to hold the esc up higher to keep from ever getting drowned in water lol.

Zip ties are just for extra strength

Got the snorkel in from Exclusive RC today (the scale Kings)

Didn’t mount it with ca glue or shoe glue like suggested. Mounted with 2 screws through the body.

Pretty neat little addition to the truck.

Truck is coming along nicely and looks best on the 4.19" size tires!
