Well sort. It’s wrapped up as a Christmas present right now so I can open mine with my sons new deadbolt. Local hobby shop had them on sale for $219.99 and who could pass that up. Anyway, my tan venture is already wrapped up ready to be opened Christmas morning. I’ve got a few parts for it as well. Proline 1.9 4.19 hyrax Hot racing white wagon wheel beadlocks Savox mg “waterproof” servo 300oz A few 2-3s lipos I will most likely run it, test it and see what it lacks from there. Future plans will be a castle sensored brushless system and some scale stuff. I have also been in touch with a guy in UK I believe that will be making SS links for it and his price is amazing. I will post info to that once I receive them in 2-3 weeks. He has not finished them and wants them to be perfect before he ships. Merry Christmas to all and I’ll be back once I open it and start looking at it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Mine is on order and should be here next Friday. Let me know how the less links are as I am very interested in a set.

I guess I shoulda explained, the deadbolt was 219.99, I paid the full $400 for the venture. No big deal since I told the wife I wanted 2 things for Christmas, an Ar15 and the Hpi Venture. Needless to say she got both! Pretty stoked for tomorrow. Thanks man hopefully I can provide insight, and find some easy “upgrades” on the new rig. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You are going to love the venture. I got mine and love it! Drove mine in the snow already and it was cool! Can't wait until winter here in Michigan is over so I can really put it through its paces. I already upgraded my servo and esc and haven't been disappointed yet! It's a quality truck!

Ripped this sucker open around 8am and super excited to get it outside. Gonna change the Servo, wheels and tires and throw a lipo in it real quick. Some close ups: ![]() ![]() ![]() I’ll get more once I swap parts over and I run it outside! One thing I immediately see is the “dog bones” yuk, I’m gonna have to see if I can fit some vvds in there soon. Also to mention if you take the body off, you have to unpin the spare tire rack, no big deal but it’s worth mentioning for you impatient people! Lol overall 9/10 truck (cheap Servo, spare tire issue). Lots of detail, forward motor mount, behind the axle steering, lower shock mounts are “pot metal” as well as the diff covers. Merry Christmas everyone. I will have more photos and a test run later! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Swapped Servo, btw the stock one is PLASTIC GEARED, so you might as well plan on doing it right away. I did reuse the stock Servo saver due to clearance with an aluminum one. I’ll have to buy a few and see which ones will work, might have to bend a “z” shape into one to clear frame rails and still allow to pass under panhard. Lowered springs, and tucked bumper under the body should have better forward approach now. Also to note, scx10 bumpers will fit into the 2 eyes of the front mount. Not sure on the width (between frame rails) yet being as I do not have an aftermarket bumper on hand. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

First off I do have to say HPI did an awesome job. But, there is some issues (like most would assume and easily fixable) Tires worked fine today, but are not very sticky, really nbd as I have a set ready to go on. Needs more front end weight, but not as much as I would normally put on my scx10’s. Probably grab some brass rotors and use them. Battery relocate would probably give it a huge advantage as well. Low Axles, not much to do here but pick lines a little better. It was cold and I was rushing lol. All in all it’s sweet. Looks awesome and performs just as well. Can’t wait for future upgrades. Need a little more POWER in my trucks than brushed can offer. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It looks good out there running. Seems really light, alum wheels will help a ton getting that weight down low. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

Yes, I’ve got the set of wagons to throw on it but wanted to actually test the truck the way it is with stock tires/wheels. I do agree and that’s what will be ran again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hyrax 4.19 are what are on my wagon wheels. Had a hard time mounting a few of them so I need to redo them but they do fit nicely. I’ve also seen the klr mt 4.19 on the venture and it doesn’t look bad either! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a set of PitBull Braven Iron sides and CI foams coming as well as a set of Vanquish Method Roosts in dark grey. Probably will get here before the truck, lol. I have a HW 1080 and a Futuba RX sitting on the bench waiting. I just need to hit up the LHS today and get some connectors for the ESC to motor. Edit: I have a old ass set of the original proline flat irons that came off my philips screws dingo that I might put on just to see what they look like. The side walls say they are 4.20 tall. |
