Wife floored me with a HPI. I'm super pumped as hpi was what got me into this addiction so as soon as I seen it I wanted no matter how it worked. Pleased to see it can hold it's own and they did their research. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

Had some time to get into the new truck this morning. Very impressed with the quality and design but bummed they held back and went plastic links. This could have put them above the rest and set a new standard with rtr's. For now I plan to run stock as it's winter and don't see a need to trash good equipment in snow conditions. I removed the battery strap thingy and am using Velcro straps as I find it easier and more secure for my Lipo. Mounted up the Hyrax 4.19 on axial bl to see how they look. Look a little small to me but when placed with stock their comparable. Once I swap the connector on esc I will do a snow run and report back. My esc also came off the mount. But that's OK....I changed to the hobbywing 1080 esc and upped the bec voltage to 7.4v since the receiver can handle it.

Just got done with a short snow run. It's 5 degrees out and we have 6-8 inches of fresh powder so I shoveled a trail and then blasted around making my own.. lol it was a hoot and this little truck put a huge smile on my face. The system actually worked great other then the servo which I have on order. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Last edited by TAT76; 02-18-2019 at 04:43 PM. |

Something I'm sure everyone knows but hasn't been mentioned is to go threw and loctite. I think I found a horn that will work but I'll have to wait till servo gets here to see. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

Made a prototype platform to test out and see if it'll work. Plan is to drop Lipo down behind tc but don't want to cut battery trey till I have it all figured and parts needed. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

Well I was able to hit a local spot of mine today for a 2 mile run. We've had lots of snow so I had to stay on the walked trails but it was fun and challenging. This little truck just works, not once did I have to help it along. All's good on my platform so far. Electronics seemed to stay put and it helped with keeping snow from packing up on the tranfercase. Yesterday I worked on relocating the battery down on the platform. Made myself a little mount and used straps to secure. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Last edited by TAT76; 02-18-2019 at 04:46 PM. |

Got some goodies today. New servo Protek 370TBL is pimp with butt loads of torque 600oz at 6v. Waterproof rx showed so now I can use my mx-v to run and not worry about my high dollar race TX. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Last edited by TAT76; 02-18-2019 at 04:50 PM. |

Cut up some wells yesterday to help keep the cleanup to a minimum. After a snowy run to test I'm happy with the turn out and can paint them up. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Last edited by TAT76; 02-18-2019 at 04:51 PM. |

Had some fun setting up rock lights. Waiting on a light kit before finalizing but wanted to get an idea of what I was dealing with. May need to tone down once others are added. FPV was just for fun but after running I may build it on a mount to easily be able to install or remove. Something about sitting inside and driving the neighborhood just made me giggle. Hooked up #scx stock wheels/tires just to see if I liked a taller tire. Now I'm thinking of mounting some Klr's.. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Last edited by TAT76; 02-18-2019 at 04:53 PM. |

Wow! I guess I found where you went. How would you compare the Venture to the Scx10 II? |

So far I think the hpi is going to give axial a good strong run pushing the industry to rethink to stay on top. I find it to be a very capable little truck and the quality of the plastic is up there. Of course it's new and being snowy it's hard to get a good run but as of now it's my go to truck for fun all around excitement. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk | |
