You don't know just how bad the stock servo on the Venture is until you get one. My son drove mine into a shoe in the house and it wrecked the servo... so much for that servo saver huh? |

Anyway, I recommend the $12 JX 6221 20kg servo (normal or 180deg) from Banggood: https://m.banggood.com/JX-PDI-6221MG...-p-973947.html If you don't want to wait the ~2 weeks from China, you can buy them from the USA via eBay for $19.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MU7TQV8..._TzhCAbYVR529X It's actually the third of that servo that I've bought so far. None of them have died yet so I'm pretty satisfied with them. I know what you mean about the hexfly servos. My son's Everest 10 has one and it's surprising robust.

Mine was bad out of the box but I added a new servo when I placed the order hearing how bad they were.

Mine was still working great when I replaced it, and never once was it unable to turn the tires on the trails.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but they're all toys. |

I agree on the stock servo. The TRX-4 servo had set a low water mark (125 oz-inch in a C2 truck compared to ~150 oz-in in Axial and Vaterra RTRs), but HPI managed to outdo them. 90 oz-in is laughable even in a C1.5 truck. But like others have said, it’s the first thing to replace anyway.

| Re: You don't know until you've got one... If you're earning money by playing with toys, then congratulations! Your criticism of the Gen7 still isn't valid. It's 95% the same as an SCX10. To consider a Gen7 a toy but somehow consider an SCX10 otherwise is foolish.
