My Venture just came in the other day and noticed the servo is pretty shite... and technically not waterproof. So im looking to upgrade to maybe a metal gear waterproof high torque one. Not looking to spend a ton either. Probably around $50 hopefully. Suggestions? Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Tapatalk |

Alot of people are using the Power HD 23kg waterproof servo. Its an off brand servo but has been pretty popular. And can be found for under $50 usually. Now...You may need a bec still with this servo but I am not sure. I personally haven't used this servo but there might be some info on it in the electronics threads on here. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...-23kg&_sacat=0 |

I just replaced mine with a Savox IP67 waterproof servo stock # SW-0231MG and it’s a much better servo . The steering is hands down wayyyyyyy better now it has lots more steering throw as well as being much more stable . It cost about $60.00 at my lhs .

I run the PowerHD 20Kg servo in my Venture (and in all my other rigs). They run about $20-$30. It's considered to be an "off-brand servo" by many people but I really like them. Aluminum case, metal gears, dual ball-bearings and o-rings on every seam/opening. The 20Kg variant isn't technically waterproof but all that's needed is conformal coating for the board, those -o-rings work really well. When you replace the servo I'd also recommend you ditch the stock servo saver and go to an aluminium servo horn. You may want to shim servo down by 3-5mm when doing this to maintain stock steering geometry. |
