Nobody else has them in stock so I am skeptical, but I ordered a set. Thanks for the heads up!

I skipped on the weights because they are only 24 grams per set which isn't even 1 ounce!

Yeah, I skipped the HPI weights too.

If I feel like I need axle tube weights, I'll probably look into the Beef Tubes.

I'm considering the knuckle + c-hub setup that you have. How's it working out? Let me know if they work well with these CVDs.

I have recieved an email saying that my order is ready for pick-up at the store so I will get them Monday when I go shopping.

I'd suggest the knuckle weights for sure. The weight is great for performance and they're so pretty and shiny. You can see the grass reflection in this photo as well as the scale weld seams. I got the SSD C-hubs to better support the weight of the knuckles.

Got a shipping notification from AMain for my universals. Estimated arrival date is the day after Christmas! Not holding my breath on that one though!

I've been waiting a long while to get an in-stock alert from RPP for the new cvd's. Maybe Amain is more in a direct line of distribution with HPI. I'm still teetering on whether to even keep my Venture, so I might continue to just wait.

Got mine today as well. I don't see the word "Venture" on them anywhere.

What are they, stocking stuffers? C'mon...Open 'em up and give a quality report!

A little while ago I took my FJ and drove it all the way down and back up the big hill I have for a backyard, at my new home. The previous owners did not cut the grass for what seems the entire summer, so it's practically an unused field, yet the FJ managed to plow through it. It did look like a boat on wavy seas, though. Hahaha... I was reminded of how tough and capable this rig is. I can't keep all my RC's, so maybe I should let my Ascenders go.

Freezing temps and Christmas Eve means I'm not in a rush to install them anytime soon.

I just meant how they feel in the hand. Merry Christmas!

On a side note, I went ahead and pre-ordered a set. Pending I figure out how to setup my RC workbench in our new place, once they arrive, I may be able to get them installed and tested by mid-January.

I'll let you now. I have to tear the servo out of my Venture for the Rock Rey so maybe I'll install the universals at the same time.

Oh I didn't want to open the bag and lose parts with people coming over for Christmas. Belated Merry Christmas!

They seem to be well made. The barrel (not sure of the correct term) is 3.5mm in diameter and the pin is 2mm in diameter. I think they will be good.

I installed them today and gave them a test in the kitchen if that counts.

Steering angle is significantly improved!

As far as a real-world durability test you will probably be waiting for a while. It's winter here and, unlike California, we actually get cold weather! You will probably be waiting at least until spring. Sorry...
