Default All out venture

Well guys, it’s time to take the venture to new levels. For some background this venture was given to me without a body, but everything else was there. It had a xl5 esc, stock everything else. It didn’t run (programming issue) so I was happy. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here so I’m not sure how to post pics anymore but I’ll figure it out.

The current setup is hobbywing 1060, Holmes 30t motor, hot racing idler gear (have problems with that), battery moved behind transfer case, bluebird 500oz servo with castle bec.

Front axle has strc brass hubs, ssd brass knuckles both modified to fit vaterra accender cvd axle shafts. Rear axle is stock, vanquish omf wheels with beef patties at both ends wrapped with 4.75 inch Goodyear wrangler mt-r’s.

Next steps are bowhouse skid, modified brazin rc chassis, add beef tubes to axle housings, custom 4 link rear, and a set of traxxas gts shocks.

The gear uses 2 bearing. The bearings are to small to fit the hot racing gear correctly, and I can’t find anywhere to get the correct bearing. I will say I’ve been running mine with the stock bearings basically just sitting I. The gear and I have not had any problems.

No I haven’t. Honestly I put the gear in the morning of one of our big meets. I didn’t have any issues so I just left it alone. The tear down starts Saturday so I’ll get to see if the bearings are toast, if they are up anything, or if everything is all good.

Yes, all the stock hpi parts will fit a brazin rc frame! The frame is for the scx10ii and it takes a few modifications, but nothing major. I need to make a few tweaks, drill a couple holes to mount my sliders, but it’ll be up and running in the next day or two.
