| Re: Wow...now I see why... Cool. I guess they're on my list now. Any concerns at all with the rod-ends not being flush with the link? Does it get snagged or caught?

My kit included revo rod ends for the lower/pandhard/steering link's, and they clear just fine, no binding. Worst case cenario you have to buy some revo rod ends.

Wait... are the upper links using the Revo Rod Ends? It looks like it goes over the thinner part... which would be perfect!

| Re: Wow...now I see why... I zoomed in and the top link rod ends look different than the Revo bottom ones, if it was me I'd just build my own links, those Revo rod ends work great with 8-32 stainless all thread and 1/4 stainless sleeve everything fits flush. The panhard, steering link and suspension links are built with that on my Wraith, easy to do and strong. Doesn't take long either. |

| Re: Wow...now I see why... Yeah, for me it just comes down to tools and space to chop things up. I'll eventually probably get around to doing it, but I need to clear out my tiny cookie-cutter box garage space. (Hence why most of my work is done on my small computer desk)

I'd rather by links myself. The hassle just isn't worth the effort to me.

Stainless Steel Linkage Set ( 8 Pcs ) for HPI Venture FJ Cruiser Don't you already have upgraded links using SSD links from the previous owner?

Ah, i see No, that hasnt been a issue for me, but since they updated the kit too included trx4 rod ends for the lower links also, you wont have that gap. Last edited by Rcdood; 12-19-2018 at 02:25 PM.

I like to make my own stuff too, and the all-thread and tubes sounds like a really great way to go. I have lots of rod ends anyway, bent and straight, long and short, 3mm and 4mm. Saw the other thread on just links too, and building them, and that's what I'll be doing from now on. They always seem to need a little tweaking in length, top and bottom, for pinion angle anyway...may as well custom make them.

I wish more people bought the venture. It's better than the axial IMO. Most will never need to change the chassis, servo setup, transmission, etc. Unlike the axial, which generally needs it to be competitive.

After work tonight I stopped and picked up some items Small tube cutter $5 2ft all thread $2.50 50" coated brake line $7.50 Small slide rule $2.00 Took the measurements out the the manual and started cutting tubes. Cut down some thread and started putting it together. Very simple and cost effective. Didn't take u any extra space. If I can do it so can you hahahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
