Default Few Questions...CVD's, servo arms and OD Gears

Got a few questions and figured I'd just throw it all out in one thread...

1. Are the HPI CVD's worth it? Do they truly increase the steering throw? I feel like anything is better than the dog bones.

2. What kind of steering servo arms are you using other than the stock setup. It seems like a traditional servo arm could mess with the geometry of the steering link, etc.

3. Are there any overdrive gearing options for the front diff?

1. Yes they are worth it. You need a transmitter that you can adjust endpoints on to take full advantage of them though.

2. I am using an offset arm with a small spacer. See my thread here, posts #43 and 44. Venture with proline ambush body

3. I do not know of any overdrive options out there.

1: Yes CVD's always better than dog bones.

2: I lowered the servo 5mm with spacers. Also the stock servo horn is 20mm centre to centre. The horn I used has 20 or 25mm spacing. Originally I used the 25mm, but it snagged on the panhard mount. I cut the end off and used the 20mm hole as I don't have a 20mm horn. Works fine now.

3: Same as JDM I don't know of any.

Thanks, guys!

I figured the CVD's were better than the dogbones. I need more steering throw in a bad way. My transmitter will be able to set endpoints.

Good info on the steering arms! Both good ways to accomplish the same thing. I need to do this as I believe the plastic arm is a bit stripped out. Steering is inconsistent and I'm constantly adjusting my trim.

To bad there are no OD gears available. Could really help with the steering radius deficiencies.

First 2 questions are covered but here's more info for Q3:

Deadloc racing is developing/has developed a transfer case that will overdrive the front and I've encountered a couple people that have flipped the transfer case over to overdrive the front.

This is the first I'm hearing of the Deadlock T-case. That could be awesome!

1. Yes, the CVDs turn so much more. You'll be amazed!
2. I'm using the Vanquish horn and a spacer. See my thread link below.

I thought I saw something on FB about a Deadloc transfer case, as well. But I did not see anything on their website for it. Anyone have a link or still in development and therefore not on their site?

OD or UD gears seem like they would be easy enough to do if some aftermarket supplier would just take a chance on developing something for the Venture.
