So I picked this up last summer at the local hobby shop, I'm always way behind everyone else here so I'm not gonna go through the whole build, just highlight what I did different. I always liked the 69 Axial Blazer but didn't care much about the SCX10 II so I ended buying the body off of a member here and it sat for a while, the Blazer body is 12in wheelbase so I needed to modify a bit, the specs on the kit say multiple wheelbases but unlike other brands there are no alternative links by HPI available that's the only thing I didn't care for about this kit otherwise it's a great kit. I was able to find some links available from RC4WD that fit the bill so that solved that issue, next issue was I didn't want to drill new holes in the hood so I was able to drill out the shock towers to accept the body posts from my SCX10 III kit, I only had to drill new holes in the back so that solved body mount issues. I fitted the Axial 67 C10 bumpers on it with stock bumper mounts. I added the Bowhouse high clearance skid and LCG battery tray during the build. I will be running a 1080 esc with a DS3218 servo and a Holmes 540 35t Trail master motor for drive train. Waiting on the roof to get here and the side mirrors. Thinking of white for the roof. Thanks for looking! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Looks good, I ended up getting the RC4WD bumper adapters, but it looks like the 3mm offset did not hamper your bumper installation. Nice job. Add photos of the topper when you get it! Sent from my SM-N970U1 using Tapatalk |

So I'm stuck on whether it should be a white roof or a black roof or maybe even silver, I think white would pop, need some opinions on roof color guys. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Looks great! The wheels make the truck. I'd vote for a white roof. Classic look. |

Looking good! The wheels definitely set it off. Looks good topless, but if you gotta cover it I vote white.

When I saw your pics that show the entire chassis, with no body I thought "holy shit those bumpers stick WAAYYY out there." Then I saw the photos with the body on, and realized the bumpers look perfect with the body, and the body looks awesome on the Venture. Nice work man. I hope to see more of it. |

That looks great. I need to get a of those wheels. Definitely a white roof with that light blue color. |

After seeing the Axial bumpers in the HPI mounts, I'm a bit disappointed in myself for dropping the money on the RC4WD adapters. ![]() Sent from my SM-N970U1 using Tapatalk | |
