what bumpers are you using with the SBK kit?

I just got the SBK kit today and was wondering what everyone is using as front and rear bumpers?


Do bumpers from other trucks fit? (scx10 II or TRX4?)

I ended up purchasing the Yeah bumper for the front and the stock bumper for the rear.



I'll be mounting a winch also in the front.

I am using the rc4wd CC hand bumper for the Stock Venture body. Also using the rc4wd rear bumper. The rear bumper takes a different mount though. I believe it has the hole spacing the same as scx10 2 style bumpers. I did mistakenly buy the rc4wd front bumper mount and it does not work with stock bumpers, so it must also have the same spacing as the scx10 2 bumpers.

or if you get creative you can build some yourself. If I ever change the rear bumper I will probably build a high clearance one.

SCX hole spacing for the bumpers is 43mm, pretty sure the Venture is spaced 40mm. That's why there is confusion over parts compatibility. Basically everyone else went with the 43mm spacing and HPI went 40mm for some reason.

My SBK didn't come with bumpers, so I just bought the RC4wd 43mm conversion mounts for the front and rear.

I'm running mine bumperless for the best possible approach and departure angles. Truck only does 6mph, so it really doesn't need bumpers to survive.
