Best locker

What the best locker for a Wheely King? Does anybody have a plan to make aluminum lockers? I dont want to glue because it is permanent.

You can use the lockers for the AX10 and Maximizer make a nice one too. I'm running the Maximizer's and have had exellent luck with them so far"thumbsup"

I've just fitted RCGUY diff lockers, fitted like a dream and doing the job well. Nice company to deal with to.

i really like the looks of the maximizers. where did you buy them from, i know tower sells them.

BJoe 01-29-2008 07:42 PM

I work for a Hobby Town and we ordered mine through Tower's parent Great Planes. I liked the fact that they were one large machining instead of multiple pieces that fit the same way or using a locating pin like the Axial locker.

RockCrawlingKid 01-29-2008 08:13 PM

ya they look like a 1 piece rcguy locker.

MetalMan 01-29-2008 08:26 PM

I too am using the Maximizer lockers, and happen to like them very much :).

jb weld:lol:

maximizers are good ones

dacaur 01-29-2008 11:13 PM

I'm Using maximizer lockers too. Honestly though I think anything that fits and locks it will work fine, you certainly aren't going to break one.. there are plenty of other parts that would break first... I just got maximizer because thats what my LHS had....

There are several guys who've broken the stock Axial lockers by twisting the inner axles in the locker, rounded out the holes where the axles fit in.

Maximizer is quality stuff.

After seeing how they go in, I was concerned about the cross pin not being strong enough, but I have heard that the Axial shafts don't seat that well in their lockers too.

THE BEST LOCKER IS J.B. Weld (STICK)... haha jk,

RockCrawlingKid 01-31-2008 03:13 PM

RCGuy

RCGUY (Wheely King Diff Locks) - great to deal with, really faaaaast shipping, and a good product........

( a few people I know have also used them )

LST022752 02-01-2008 01:33 PM

I use the rcguy ones and there great. I've had no problems with them.

dragnz24 02-01-2008 01:47 PM

Sorry this is little off topic but what kind of shipping time did you guys have from RC GUY? Its been about a week and we (order one for me and a buddy) still dont have our lockers? :-(

Border

I wouldn't worry about it, they have to go through the "border" bs, so I doubt that the wait is anything to get excited about - they have excellent support - maybe fire them an email, and see if they have estimated times to go from here to there..

I'm in Canada so it was just going from one side to the other, so it was rather quick..

YAKIMA RC RACER 02-01-2008 03:04 PM

here are some sweet ring and pinions and they are pretty heavy and stout
