Default Max clearence WK axles

Waiting for $ to build up my crawler has left me with a ton of time to sit in my shop and think. The WK axles are notorious for having crappy link mounts, I didn't feel like spending the coin to buy aftermarket mounts and too lazy to go get some U-channel. I had my dremel and some extra screws and came up with this;

On a side note i was bored and painted my motor can, check it OH BTW that is handpainted NO stencils am I good or what?

the only thing I could think is that the link mounts could rotate and flex with only one bolt. I saw someone take a tlt link mount and bolt tat to the axle housing. that looked really stout.

have you tested it yet?

looks like he has some kind of shim there,.... as long as its shimmed solid I dont see it rotating unless the plastic is flexible enough to let it twist...

Yep alum shim that is gonna get CA'ed to the axle when I get some more CA. The plastic won't let it turn

I havent tested it yet, dont have the money to finish the build as of now.
