For the adapters check with the vendors listed on the site. I think a few of them carry what you're looking for.

Ok here it goes, with the stock chassis your pretty limited, even with all you have ordered it still will be limited.

Forget the wideners, the Wheely King axles are wide enough.

If your trying to get the most out of your truck with the stock as possible stuff you need a better chassis. Check out my rig. That is a Visionary Fabrication full option rig. It does much, much, better than my previous setup that I spent alot of my hard earned money on.
to go about getting it Pm Billet Works, he will set you up.

Thanks for all your help,

I've heard of guys running this MTroniks Viper Marine 40 ESC. How does it work out? I would like to crawl in some wet conditions, but I don't plan on running it in water alot.. How does say a Novak ESC-Rooster Crawler hold up to some wet conditions?

if you plan on gettin the rig pretty wet or runnin through some soupy mud.... get the viper..... i plugged the holes in my stock tires just so i could literally float it across the creek...... it will float for a minute without pluggin the holes, but it will start to sink after a minute..... it will still run underwater with the viper on it......

as far as the tranny, the stock wk tranny is a good tranny if you lock it...... i think there is a sticky about how to lock it..... really easy to do.......

How does that ESC do with regular crawling though?

Can you provide a link to the thread about the tranny's?

Thanks!!

I disagree. If you lock the tranny you will be stripping out gears. There is a reason for a slipper with plastic gears. As I have said before, we all need to bother RC4WD till they make up metal gears as they said they would.

Rebman, will this be a comp rig?

The chassis you run is irrelevant if you are going to keep the stock tranny and motor setup (IE not offset the motor). The stock chassis is actually nice and light for what it is but with the motor up high the COG is not ideal. So you end up running it lower (droop or cut springs) and then you drag the belly everywhere. If you don't have a skid you get hung up everywhere and the cursing begins. Having said that, I have done quite well with mine once I installed the dig setup and did some tweaking. If you have no fab skills (not saying you don't) the stock chassis doesn't leave you many options though. I think I probably took the stock chassis as far as anyone else on here, if not further. I've got tons of tech writeups on my site if you decide you don't wanna drop coin on a new chassis and you want to run the stock chassis till it biodegrades.

If you go after another chassis I advise you to not get one that is just an alum variant of the stock setup because you will be wasting your money. Alum is no lighter than the nylon/plastic the WK comes with. Although Usmc8541's chassis looks F'n sweet, he is seeing benefits from moving the battery/electronics to the front axle, angling the shocks, the little brushless motor (helps COG) and the curved links ... all of which you can do on the stock chassis.

If you do leave the stock chassis system, be prepared to keep nothing but your axles. Get one that can take the AX10 tranny with the Visionary Fab dig. While doing so you'll have to move the steering servo to the front axle so you may as well move the battery up there as well. The more weight you get lower and forward the better it'll do pretty much everything.

While I'm preaching ....
Get yourself a cheap TQ3 and RX so you can run the dig. Then get some Proline M3 (Moab/masher) or Losi Claws. Those RC4wd tires look killer but as far as crawling goes they aren't anything special.

Replacing the chassis and reconfiguring the motor/trans mount, will make better use of the drive train. The WK drive train is great. The chassis is the only thing holding it back, when it comes to crawling. Ground clearance is the problem with the WK TVP chassis it was the whole reason I built a custom tube chassis. Now I have 3" on ground clearance. Look around you can get a chassis for a desent price it will be like night and day.

I'd like to match up with the comp. requirements. but I don't think i'll be competing with it..

I just got my RC4WD Extended Wheelbase Suspension Kit, and let me tell you... I am not Impressed with it at all so far.. poorly designed, to say the least.
