Default Moab question

Hi Guys
I`m just collecting my parts for my first crawler,
(Based on a aluminium widow chassis,)

I have a question about tyres what are the correct moabs for this application??

(I keep coming across 40 series but am not sure if they are correct)

I have searched the forum but can only find them described as 2.2 moabs

Thanks
Adrian

2.2" moabs!
thats actully all you need to know.. just keep on checking
the 40 series would be way to big.. since they are in the t-maxx sice.. the normal MT size..

Wheely Kings wheels are 2.2's if you are re-using the factory wheels you would need 2.2 moabs.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the quick replies

Would it be ok to use these tyres on stock rims??
(It`s never going to be used for competition)

Thanks
Adrian

You sure can use them on the stock wheels. For better performance you could cut the channels on the wheels off (where the bead of the tire would normally sit), which is known as narrowing the wheel. Then the tire would be glued to the inner-most part of what previously was the channel.

I'm running Rock Claws, with the stock rims (and it's spelled TIRES - haha ) and they work just fine. My buddy narrowed his stock WK rims (search for narrowing rims) and that works well too.
