Default need help with my trany

i am in a pickle i am not to shure what to do now i made a new chassie and i need help setting up the tranny and motor.now see the 2 nubs sticking up in the picture should i cut them off so the motor will fit on thair or should i make a new bracket?

You HAVE to cut those posts off and grind them smooth to the case with a dremel to clock the motor, otherwise it won't get close enough to the gear to get a decent mesh and you'll be stripping spur gears all the time.

You'll also have to get a 96t spur gear (the stock 90t won't mesh when the motor's clocked.)

ok but it is not the stock spur gear and will i have to make a new motor mount bracket?

Are you talking about the little ears on each side of the purple motor plate?

couldn't you just cut open the one side to allow the moter to stick out slightly? I think offraoder5 had shown a pic of something like that before? it just never made it to the templates.

Cutting those posts off the top of the trans will do nothing as far as helping you get the motor installed...unless you are going to make a custom plate. You could either mount the motor in-line with the spur on top where those two closest posts are (which...yes you would have to remove them)...or you could do what many others have and clock up the whole trans like in the pic that Rockwerks posted. Either way, you're looking at making a custom motor plate.

i wont to do what rockwerks did just leave one side with the things sticking up so i could mount it to the bottom of the chassie
