Default gearing and suspesion question

i am building a crawler but i like to maintain the stock chassis. right now i'm running 2.2 maobs on a novak 55 and stock esc for now. what gearing should i be running? also what do you suggest for shock set ups. right now i am using esavage shocks with stock springs for some extra ground clearence and 20w oil but it seems a bit much. i don't think i'm getting all the articulation i should be getting with the rc4d ext kit any help would be great. keep in mind i am going to run the stock chassis

if your running the stock spur and pinion i would change out the pinion to a smaller one as as the stock pinion is good for go fast but less torque id get an asortment as small as you can find up to like 16 or 17t you lose wheel speed so keep in mind it wont be very fast for the shocks try to see if the springs from the wk fit the are softer and would help the 20 weight oit isnt the problem softer springs

Honestly, the stock WK shocks are usually too much. I will guarantee unless something is binding you are getting plenty of flex. 45*-70* is about what you want. Anything beyond that is just going to put your truck in a wad.

Pix would help us help you.

When i made my king a crawler i ended up using a 96t spur with a 14 pinion gear. had a 55t lathe motor and works great
