well i was on some rocks and on the other side of this set rocks was a puddle of gushy and watery mud, but on the other side of the mud was a perfect spot that started in the mud, so do the math. i went into it and it was real deep. But i floted across

Nice mudder man. That's the way they should look. I hear ya about the money situation. I usually can only afford one mod per month (if that). Being broke just makes me think of more homebrew things to do. Adding cheap wheel/axle weights, fabbing a camera mount, locking the tranny, trying to make scale details from scrap, etc... All done for nothing or next to nothing.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I LOVE my T-Maxx. But yeah, there IS a significant portion of time dedicated to upkeep. And finicky carbs. :-P The worst was when I snapped the rear bulkhead and had to remove the wheels, upper and lower link assemblies, engine, gas tank, shocks, axles and more I can't remember. LOL. One thing I've noticed is that nitro trucks are best enjoyed in a group, but crawlers can be enjoyed in a group or by oneself. It's always man vs. terrain. I'm sure I'll always have a nitro truck or buggy, but I'm certain I'll always have a crawler. Or two.

I hear ya about the money situation, but there's alot of things I did to mine that were free or super cheap. I used plans from here and built and axle mount servo and then flipped the chasis. That helped a ton. Also you can stretch the wheelbase for pretty cheap if you're creative. the most expensive part was buying the rod ends. jake
