The changes will be minimal if you want it as an all terrain or trail truck. I'd switch the rear springs to Axial Blue, this will take care of most of the squat when it accelerates. Maybe drop the pinion a couple of teeth to slow it down. Other than that get out there and enjoy the time with your Dad.

Taping your spring cups to the springs is a good idea, they fall off easily, I lost 2 my first time out. Biggest suggestion would be to adress the steering as this is the worst part of the stock King, other than that they are great trucks. I am running an 18t pinion and like it much more than the stock 21t. If you goo real small on the pinion you will need to worry about the motor hitting the tranny case, I dremeled a little off mine to get the 18t to fit w/ my novak 55 motor, but it is bigger in diameter than the stock can so if you keep the stock motor you should be able to fit an 18 w/ ease. I also waterproofed mine to boost the fun factor, I am glad I did. Didn't have much choice because I decided to "see how waterproof the stock electronics are, and they lasted thru some splashing but didn't like being sunk up to the windshield at all hahaha.

Have fun w/ your dad, looks like he likes the truck. Great pic, I agree it is one of the best I have seen on here, makes me wanna leave work and go thrash my CK.

Default appreciate

Thanks you every one I really appreciate all the info I'm thinking of going with the Novak Roster and 55 turn motor and I will defiantly move the servo to the front axle cause it doesn't turn well at all. I thought it was just my dads driving tell I tried it.

i modded my king with dual steering servos mounted on the axles, strc bent trailing arms, traxxas drive shafts, integy pro lathe 55 turn motor, 8oz weights in the front wheels 6oz wieghts in the rear wheels, traxxas steel steering linkages, 93 tooth spur gear 19 tooth pinion. what a difference from stock performance to now. steering servo mounted to the axle is a must. have fun with your dad, thats the most important thing!!!!
