Predator super class WK

8 Attachment(s)
New Predator chassis (official release coming soon)
WK trans
WK Axles (JB welded)
WK shocks
Maxx DS
55T lathe
Mamba ESC
Hitec 645MG (front)

Currently set at 14.75" WB but the chassis is designed to be used anywhere from 14"-17" so I may stretch it. Rear stear and DIG are both in this trucks future. I'll let the picture say the rest...

What did you use for the upper link?

Tabogon 06-01-2008 08:36 PM

I Want One!!!

Looks amazing! "thumbsup"

jetboat 06-02-2008 07:15 AM

All links are 3/16 brakeline with 6/32 dubro rod ends.

The chassis' are available for $55 + $5 shipping... I havent started officially advertising/selling them yet, just PM me if you want one.

That looks cool, I personally would make the bottom narrower.

jetboat 06-02-2008 02:15 PM

its just wide enough to fit the WK transmission..and I mean just. I concidered Boat siding it but for what I would have gained I didnt find it worth the trouble.

Man... you should get a table... putting stuff together on the rocks seems like it must be a %!^@#..... I can only imagine how many screws ans stuff must be in the cracks between those rocks...

finally got it pretty well done and took it out for a cruise... Even with the tires not glued, soft rims and about 1" less tire than I plan to run on it, its impressive!!! Ill try to get some video at the comp this weekend.

BJoe 06-04-2008 10:02 PM

Looks good Jeff!

701 Technique 06-05-2008 01:33 AM

that is one sweet chassis"thumbsup" do you have to do any modifications to mount the wheely king trans in there?

jetboat 06-05-2008 07:21 AM

the only mod for the Wk trans was to put on a clocked motor plate. I purchased mine online but there is a free template avail here on RCC (see sticky) or you can come up with your own design. Otherwise the chassis is a straight bolt in/on for the WK (with your own links of course).

Im actually thinking about coming up with a "bolt on" kit so that you could simply bolt your WK axles/shocks/trans in without having to make links or even panels.

BJoe 06-06-2008 12:23 AM

It's worse in the Chicago Burbs, too many places are built up around here, damn near have to build your own!

Jamus 06-06-2008 06:51 PM

Come to WV, take the rocks from my yard, my mower blades will thank you.

TONKA TOY 06-08-2008 06:46 AM

"thumbsup" Cool lil vid, looks like it performs pretty well. Makes me wanna rebuild my wk based super.

BJoe 07-16-2008 01:20 AM

Looks good Jeff, what tires are you running?

jetboat 07-16-2008 07:19 AM

Here are some updated pics.

WB is sitting at 15"
tires are Zombie Maxx (I think) they came off my first crawler that I built about 4-5yrs ago and sold last year... they had just been sitting in my tire bin. The tires are a little wide and the rims have the wrong backspacing for my taste.

The production chassis has been changed slightly, the bottom is now bent in, the overall chassis width is just over 3" but the bottom is now just wide enough to fit an r2/r2d. They are available for $55 shipped to the US and they come with an undrilled skid plate.
