| Hey, Im new to the forum and doing my first wheely king build, I done a few searchs and im not clear on what route to take. Im in the process of stretching my wheel base to 12-12.5". What should I run for drive shafts, whats the best route to go. Im preaty new to this hobbie. im running a 60/40 link set up and a rcguys servo mount. Im also in the process of setting up my steering. I havnt heard many good things about the stock servo, should I replace it while everything is apart? If so what should I go with? she is running the RCguy lockers front and rear. thanks, Rob |

| I used E/T Maxx axle shafts on mine, they work fine but I have been told they can twist under high torque. The Revo shafts are stronger and can take the torque better. Also with the E/T Maxx shafts you can use the stock WK U-joints to mount them to. I'm not sure if that is true with the Revo shafts, but my guess is they will also work. As for your servo, yes get a better one and change it out. My stock servo doesn't have enough torque turn the tires when it sets still. I bought a HiTec servo, (don't have it here for the part number) but it has more then enough torque to turn those tires at a dead stop, on rocks or flat surfaces. Also get yourself a 55, ar 64 turn motor and put that in, that'll help you a lot with the crawling. Good luck with the build and remember to post pics! | Mixing Maxx and WK shafts gets you into a mess. The pins in the WK joint balls are too small for the Maxx holes in the yoke/joint and they will be super floppy. It will get you by, but once you start torqueing on them they'll pop off. Get all Maxx parts from tranny to axle and it will work much better. |

| yeah i was running the t-maxx driveshafts and snapped the rear to pieces. i ordered a punisher shaft from RC4WD and had no problems. i plan on getting another punisher shaft because they work so well. with hardened gears and chromoly shafts, my drivetrain is basically bulletproof |
