Default Finally built a crawler

I've been lurking here for a while, and finally got off my butt and turned my WK into something useful. Sadly, a tiny budget made it impossible to build what I wanted the first time through. Kaetwo hooked me up with a sweet K2-3L chassis, and I took it from there. I ripped the trans out of my rustler, and shortened the links I made from my original WK build. I tried to run the shocks in a droop setup, but I'm pretty sure I failed at that (I don't think it's supposed to feel like your truck is flexing through peanut butter ). Savage bumpers and an old Ram body I had finished it off. It isn't pretty, but it looks better than it did before, and it should do better as well. Once I get some more cash, new rims, tires, shocks, and a steering servo are going into it, along with some sort of outrunner since I don't think the stock 27t is gonna work for long in there

Anyway, here are the pics. Please feel free to dig into it, and tell me what to fix. I know the steering setup is horrible, but it's only temporary

Looks like a good start, maybe you'll end up having more fun with it than some of the people who drop $600 or more on their rigs :-P. I'm not a "comp crawler" guy myself, but I always have a great time trail running, climbing and bashing with my buds. Run the snot out of it, decide what needs to be changed or improved and have fun with it till the money is there to go the next step.

Thanks It'll definitely see more trails than rocks. I'm not the kind of person who races or does anything competitively, so maximum performance isn't a concern. I just want it to look and run good

Looks good! I'd fix the steering asap. You're gonna buy a lot of servo horns.
