Default Autumn Project

Havent had much time to work on this truck as I have been 1:1 competeing, but now I should have some time in the fall to stitch it all together.

Custom lightweight chassis w/ ToyotaDon made aluminum skid/bucket
13" Wheelbase. 2.5" ground clearance (it may lower when drivetrain is installed)
UNGLEWD LandRover body (Lexan/Styrene enforced). I have yet to molest this one, but I will :-P
45T Integy Motor
Tekin FXR ESC
WK Tranny w/ clock plate
8.4 Volt 4200mah SMC battery (woot woot!)
WK Tranny w/ 96-15 Spur-Pinion
WK Diffs w/ Axial lockers
Hitec 645 Steering servo w/ steel arms
8/32 links w/ large revo ends
Losi Claws w/ Gunmetal Beadlocks (not in pictures)

*sorry for the crappy pics*

My goal is not to have an all out crazy wheeler, but enough umph on a tight budget to dangle with some of the locals.

Worked on it for a few hours last night. Got the driveshafts figured out and installed, mounted the ESC and reciever. Ran a bit of the wiring. Figured out a diff rotation issue that made articulation night and day.

Side shot

A little internals shot

Wheely King clock plate Kraqa made for me

That sexy little ESC :-P

A little flexy flexy.

So thats progress...
Already chopping up the body, need to wire in batteries and run the wire from esc to motor Should have it done VERY soon!

Well the landy body seemed to big and requires alot of modifications, threw the stock WK body on (bob'd the rear already, just need to take some pics). So I got the thing together and tested it out. Seems to work great, need to get my new battery pack (Pictures are with the wifey's pack).

Some authentic Moab rock :-P

what if you moved the links in more and tighten the wheelbase a bit.
then you might be able to run the rover.

looking good keep us posted.

8-32 threaded rod w/ 1/4 brakeline (i believe) to sleeve it. Large Revo ends. I think i may change the uppers to 4-40 seeing as they are just pulling and pushing force, not side to side. Saves a bit of weight.

Time to update this thread/build.

I have made some adjustments, went with the following changes:

Steering servo changed to a HS-5955TG
Put it on 3S (20C, 40 Burst) 1350mah battery
Reinforced the plastic driveshafts with metal pins
weighted the front diff with 2oz and 1oz in each tire
Panther memory foams
Bent the rear links to turn pinion up
Shortened the front lowers to turn the pinion up
New delrin bent steering tie rod (more steering)
HD Axial lockers
HeyOK No Brainer BEC

This thing is nuts now and the tranny is holding up. I thought I nuked it a while back but apparently something else was messed up and I got it working yesterday

That was when I was on non-lipo batteries, lol. Now that im on 3S, keepin the beefy stuff. Last night launched it up a face and it came down and cracked one of my revo joints in half.

My buddy Kraqa has been working on a comp chasis for me to try out, so I will be switching over to that hopefully within the next little bit
