| i raised my truck up and increased articulation by relocating the shocks, just used long bolts and put the fronts into the rear bolt holes of the steering servo box and the rears to the back mounts of the roll bar, now i did this setup with the extended bent links and am sitting 12.5" wb not sure how itll act on stock links, and now that the shocks are changed in angle to the link they are easier to compress so therefore this will keep my truck at the same but i put zip ties as shock spacers and have alot of room to raise the truck and doesnt stiffen it that much, really good for trail setup, not so good for climbing. and another thing if you are good at fabing i made my own steering links using small aluminum round stock and drilled and tapped the ends 4-40, used bolts cut the heads off and threaded ball joints on the other end, this will get rid off alot of play in the steering and keep the tires from torquing so much, it took me a couple trial and error runns before i got them perfect length because i want the ball joint to seat right against the aluminum, but they will be adjustable you just have to take the rod off seeing as there is no reverse threads on the other end like a tie rod. you could make your suspension links the same way if you want to go cheap and custom, but if your planning to compete youll have to be careful not to go over the wb length |
