Default My crawler build, named "Bruiser"

Hi guys, I dont post on here much, but thought I would share my crawer build with you all.... hope you like!

I had been off work for a few weeks with depression brought on by work issues, something that had never affected me before (I would not wish this on my worst enemy), and I was going nuts at home doing nothing. So I decided I needed to do and channel my efforts into, as I love to build things and have projects on the go.... enter Rock Crawling!

I started out not wanting to spend a huge amount of money (heard this before somewhere?) as I used to be into 1/10th electric indoor racing and know how much it costs when you get carried away. So I went for the WK as it was mucho cheap to get started, crawled well with minor mods and had good parts support.
Fresh from Modlesport:

This lasted about... 1min 32seconds before it was stretched out with an RC4WD kit and RCGuy diff locks:

Then after seeing a build on here I opted for a Chevy K10 long wheel base, made for a Revo 3.3, this thing is like 18" long!

So the standard wheels, looked rather.... crap:

Some TXT-1 bad-boys with no use at all, bought from a friendly American chap for £10 did just the job Found some aluminium wheel adaptors on eBay:

Next up was the electrics, A Hitec 5955 servo, Graupner V80R ESC, and JP Customs 35T Warrior motor (love this motor) are nowing doing the biz in fine style:

After some use, I found the turning radius could be measured in miles, so I set to work. So far I havent seen another setup like this, the servo is still in the stock position:

The front and rear steering links have been beefed up, but not made solid, so they can absorb some shock for when its being used as basher.
The truck was almost named "ish" as its scale-ish, super-ish, basher-ish, rock racer-ish... you get the idea Its a bit of an all rounder really, it still amazes me at what it can and what it cant climb over
Here she is finished (well as finished as they get )
All pics driven into and out of...

It climbs steep slopes ok, but with the battery still in the back, it could be better:

Its a much bigger truck than it looks in the pics, the large body makes the wheels look smaller... but trust me it a big ole'girl!
Spec list:
Chassis: WK 13.5" wheelbase
Suspension: RC4WD stretch kit, stock shocks, custom from shock mounts on front
Trans: stock, RCGuy diff lockers, 15t pinion, larger spur (forgot the tooth count ), HPI wheel wideners, Traxxas shafts
Motor: JPCustoms Warrior 35T
Servo: Hi-Tec 5955 using custom 4WS setup
Wheels & tyres: TXT-1
ESC: Graupner V80R
Remember, I'm new, dont hate
Thanks,
Simon

That's gotta be one of the biggest, baddest WK's I've seen in a while, gotta love a big blue Chevy .
