| Locked Axle Question
This may sound stupid, but is there any way to unlock a wheely king axle. I bought the truck from a guy on here a while back and they were allready locked and now since I have a few other crawlers I want to unlock them so I can have something to go kinda fast in. Its has real good wheel speed with the locked axles and stock 27t motor but I need to go faster every once in a while. thanx |

Well you need to find out how the axles are locked. If it's JB weld your out of luck. If it's spools then you can just put back in the gears. |

Your from Clinton BC? I'm in Kamloops and have my stock diff gears out of WK. I have the WK HPI conversion and it came with diff locks. So my stock side gears and spider gears are collecting dust.

when I sold you the WK, I think I included the stock spider gears in a little baggie along with a bunch of other stock stuff. You should be able to just replace the lockers with the spider gears. Finding a how-to for installing the RCguy lockers should help show how to remove them and replace them with the spider gears. You should have the stock pinion/spur gears as well, installing those vs. the crawling ratio that was on it should help get some more speed out of it.
