cool beans! i have to try this tonight! oh yes! |
how big of a difference did it make for u? also how hard was it to do? do u have any vids of running it like that? |
Being extended and lowered made it alot more stable, and streamlining the chassis underside a bit also helped. I'm usually having too much fun to get decent pics or vids, sorry. I haven't pushed this truck to it's limit yet, but I'm sure it'll be a big improvement over stock. As far as how easy is was, no big deal there. I just hacksawed the lower section of plastic chassis off, cut some aluminum plates for strength, and drilled the mounting holes. T.D. |
how much more clearence do you have now??? |
Clearance is about 3 inches, but the Imex All-T's helped. Running other tires would lower it somewhat, I just like the looks of those particular jumbo sized tires. The overall chassis with that modification sits at about 5.75 inches@ the top rail, still better than stock. T.D. |
where did you mount the battery? |
i have a skid plate for a tummy tuck if any one is interested. Looks good"thumbsup". i was going that way then changed my mind. |
I think you're the guy that inspired me to try it in the first place ;-). Or I just flat-out stole your idea. I give the credit to you, thanks! T.D. |
