wheely king "manta" build I just got finnished making the "manta" frame with the template from (offroader5) and i noticed a big problem...the stock wheely king tranny sits too high and sits higher than the frame if its vertical and horizontal it is way too wide... what should i do? is there a template for a clocked motor mount??? trying to finish by monday... |
I have a template for the clocked motor pm me for it :) |
Here is a template for one of many clock plates: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...ighlight=clock There are also numerous threads where people have fabricated their own, with several different types of designs. This is the search results I got from "clock" searching in the WK section: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/searc...searchid=73295 ...browse through those and see what ya find out. I never really intended the WK trans to fit in the Manta when I designed it. You could lay it down, but like you said...it may be too wide. Since it can't stick out the side like the Widow it would have to fit inside the plates. If you're dead set on using the WK trans, you'll need to fab a clocking mount. |
I just ended up mounting the tranny sideways and cutting off the middle bar on one of the side plates..will give me a better cog anyways..but now the motor is completely exposed??? ill post pics |
