| Why wheely king?
Hi im wondering if I should get the hpi wheely king. I like bashing around and crawling so i thought this would be the perfect truck for me. I have a couple questions though My first question is if the stock esc on the wheelie king can handle a 7-cell battery. My second question is can I use a traxxas titan motor in the wheely king without doing any motor mount modifications? And also if I instal the traxxas titan motor can the esc handle it? aNY answers would be great. |

The esc should be able to handle 7 cells. the titan will bolt right in, and is a 27 turn, like the stock wk motor. If you are going to do any crawling, or slow speed stuff, the esc will get hot and shut off. adding a lathe motor for crawling will be much easier on the esc. hope this helps.

That set up would be good for bashing, but not really crawling. I kept in the 27t and did a lot of mods to make it crawler ready. Traxxas links, rod ends and driveshafts. STRC alum steering kit. Alum servo mount...etc. Plus HPI make a crawler conversion kit as well. That came out after I had modified it myself. |

I stretched mine as well. I also added a 96 tooth spur, 17 tooth pinion, and a 75 turn lathe motor to make a great crawler. I eventually made it into a tuber and run it in comps all the time.

Why do you think I picked my screen name? I have both, but my heart still goes with the WK. |
