| ok, so my friend has a WK with the coversion kit. Now, with the conversion kit, the steering sucks. What can I do to help him fix it? |

| A stronger servo helps, but with the diffs locked you're going to loose some steering. If the crawler conversion kit keeps the servo in the chassis, you can help that out by putting the servo on the axle. A few companies make servo mounts, or you can make your own. This is how I did mine- Bowser the WK! I got 4 link mounts, a battery mount and a place to put electronics (on the rear axle, though I didn't use it) out of the deal too. If you want more steering angle you can try modding your stub axles like people did back in the day on TLT's, just shave the cup down and re-taper it. Then you'll have to trim the knuckles and/or the C's to clear the extra steering. The RCP CVD's will also net you more steering, but I had some durability issues with them, though I admit I'm pretty hard on my rigs. Lastly, you can either add a dig or rear steer. Dig is comp legal, rear steer is not. |
