| I bought the crawler conversion kit and there are some parts that I donīt have the slightest idea what they are for... Please see: http://www.hpieurope.com/showimage.p...7/85637_01.jpg Itīs the "funny" shaped parts on the right side of the center group! (they look like rod ends and those triangle shaped parts) Hope you understand! Thx for your help! |

| I can't recall off hand since I don't have the instructions in front of me but somewhere in the paperwork that came with the conversion kit it tells you what those parts are used for. |

| Those odd looking pieces looks like adjustable angle rod ends for the upper links... they appear to attach to the new upper links (far right) doing so you could use all thread or something similar to make custom links while still using the standard upper mount on the axle... hope this makes sense |

Exactly right! HPI included those parts for people who wanted to make their own aluminum upper links rather than use the plastic link provided. The rod end looking things key into the triangle shaped piece to allow for the different angles that would result from different length links, as opposed to an axial y-link which has a fixed angle and therefore a fixed usable length for chassis plates with x inches of seperation between them. | |
