Ok, I am looking into converting my stretched wk to selectable 4ws via making servo mounting brackets for both axles and attaching two Futaba servos I have waiting. Now the question is how does one go about wiring up such a setup. (along with the pair of servos I have a 3 channel receiver from Futaba to match but the radio that came with the pack is only a 2 channel I believe. Will double check that sunday) If my radio is not a 3 channel can anyone recommend a relatively low dollar option that will work decent for this setup? I may just go for full time 4ws to save the radio hassle so how would I wire that in to work in line with what ive already got? thanks!

What you need is a Futaba 3pm programmable radio. There is a tutorial on how to set it up here >Setting up Futaba 3PM for 4ws You will be able to switch between 2w steer, 4w steer, and crab steer. The radio is 150-200 bucks brand new. You can also do a full-time 4w steer by buying a reversing servo wire that will turn your front and rear tires in opposite directions giving you 4w steer. If you get a splitter your could use a 2 channel reciever too. Last edited by HAAS599; 03-13-2009 at 09:51 AM.

You could look in the electronic thread. It will have how to wire the servos for full time 4ws or selectable. It will also talk about all the available radios.

A modified traxxas tq3 radio is the cheapest option I've found for independent 4ws.
