What chassis are you using? I'm running a Kimbrough 96t spur and a 13t-14t pinion on mine with a Integy 55t using a Trinity P94 endbell, old school Super Rooster, and an Electrifly 9.6v 4/5 A pack all on a stock TVP chassis that has been flipped and stretched.

Im using a home made carbon fiber chassi and the stock maxx lower braces its very light and not a normal rock crawler more of a mudd racer thats why im looking for more speed but I dont want to put a brushless setup because I do get it very wet and muddy. the wheely king trans seems to be ideal because the motor sits kind of high so it doesnt get submerged easily. Im havent seen any body runnin a spur like a 30 tooth to get more speed just want any ideas if any bodys tried this before I dont want to over heat the motor but Im only using a single 6 or 7 cell pack so I dont think that will be a problem. Ill put some pics up as soon as Im allowed or cough up the dough. Thanks

Why not go brushless? and use lipo batteries. And get metal gears for the tranny so it will survive. good luck.

the metal gears would be a great improvment but where do I get them, and the only reason I didnt want to go brushless was because I dont know how it will work if it gets wet but if its not a problem than I think Ill try it thanks.

I am not sure where to get these gears, either. Or I would already have them. As for brushless in water, I have seen a friend run an outrunner through mud and water with no problems. of course he waterproofed the esc and radio. otherwise run a 3 cell lipo. I think that alone will get you what you are looking for. good luck.

Hey guys! If you want metal gears you can get them at CKRCcrawlers for about $19 (hardened alum.) or RC4WD $60 (hardened steel). But at the same time get ya some hard shafts for the axles. Stock ones snap like twigs under bind. Chris

I have had good luck with stock shafts in both my wk rigs. I have broken plenty of them, but they take one h3ll of a beating.
