When I first started out I used hard modeling clay. Worked for a while, but eventually it will where out. The best upgrade I can say it putting down the 15 bucks and getting the axial iron cross lockers. They are a bolt in locker for the wheely king also. (part number AX30500 heavy duty locker.) ![]() Keep in mind. If you are going to do alot of just driving around, with a locker you do loose some steering. It wont turn on a dime anymore. But if your gunna be crawling alot it is a must do!

JB weld is permanent and non removable, Lockers are best and easy to install and remove. I used Hot Glue works well, and no problems yet, that can be removed with not too much trouble. If you have the cash, get the best aftermarket lockers available, quick and easy.

JB weld will work for a while untill the abuse just breaks the spiders. I'd go with an Axial locker, they drop right in.

i used hot glue in two of mine and it lasted a couple of weeks, i then jb welded them and another set a few months after them. so far, so good, with all 4, but if you can for ease and whatnot, i'd get the axials (they weren't out when i jb'd mine)

I wedged an extra set of spider gears in mine for the longest time. but there was enuff back and forth play that i kept breaking axles. So i finally bought the axial lockers and i have noticed a night and day differance. my rig can go more places than it could before. In my opinion i would just spend the money and get the lockers. there so worth the time and money.

I used silly putty in mine for a little while. It allowed a bit of give in case a tire was really bound up, but would usually go back to a pretty solid hold quickly. It was easy to remove, and didn;t break down too quickly. Now I have the HPI lockers in mine, but I haven;t ran it with them yet.
