Default Wheely King Motor, Battery & ESC ??

Just purchased a WK with out electrics and had a couple of questions. I have a rc helicopter and was wanting to use my batteries from it which are 3s 2200MaH lipos. I know they will work but have been out of the car scene for awhile and not sure what motor and ESC to get prefer to go brushless. It will be more of a basher truck but would like to be able to rock crawl a little bit will be putting rock crawler conversion on it ASAP. So any suggestions on Motor and ESC would be greatly appreciated. I was looking at the Tekin FSR Pro w/ 35t motor since it is lipo safe again would like a brushless set up which I know this is not good or bad idea?? I would still like to have some speed with the truck since it is going to be a basher most of the time. As for using my heli lipo batteries will the run time be so small that I would be better off getting new batteries just have like 6 heli batteries would be nice to not have to by batteries. If so on the new batteries what will give me a longer run time any ideas of what people are using and getting would help? Thanks for any ideas that any might have new to this forum and have the rock crawling bug I think!!

How about a Mamba max or sidewinder from castle creations and a brushless outrunner. would be great with a 3s lipo
even a brushed 35t motor would be pretty fun on lipo. Good luck.

Thanks for the input just trying to figure out what kind of run time I would get with my 2200.

I get about 30 minutes of crawl time out of a 1500 mah lipo, but my rig is geared to crawl. it has a 75t motor, 96 tooth spur, 17 tooth pinion. You should get a good amount of run time with a 2200.

I run a integy 5000mAh 7.4v 2cell lipo with a 5700kv sidewinder and matching esc and i get about 35 to 40 min runs. I run it down to about 15percent and its a lil over a year old now. hundreds of runs.

How do you like the sidewinder 5700? Does it crawl good, or is it better for bashing? I am thinking of putting one of these in my Rock Racer, but it needs to crawl as well as haus a$$.

Then don't go brushless for crawling. I tried a MM with 7700 and the drag brake was pretty much useless.

I have a 32t pinion so it would probably be a lil hard on my motor to crawl. but the sw 5700 is an evil motor(in a good way) It would probably handle just about any style driving. Ive been beating the shit out of mine for awile and it doesn't even get hot.My wk tops out at about 40mph

I have info, pics, and video on MY SAND KING thread. check it out

I use a brushless setup in my car called an EZ run. It comes with a 9T motor, 35A programmable ESC and program card for $79...I see that Hobbywing has put out an EZ run for crawlers that has a 32T motor and the same combo deal at $79....If it's anything like the one I have in my car, it will be worth it's weight in gold. You have about 10 different settings and within those settings 2-5 choices!!! Drag brake possibilities are supreme. The drag brake force settings on my 9t work great....

Link to motor/esc combo
