After a LONG time i finally had a little time to play with my R/C This is how my wheely king used to look the last time i touch it ![]() ![]() ![]() Some vids stock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVCH1JrMZGI some mods and alot of MUD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zMDY7QJuM0 and rockcrawling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_QoSKH0B4o __________________________________________________ _________ So i decided to go a little further this time Just to let everything clear: - i dont have the right materials ... i used what i found in home - i dont have proper tools - i dont have advanced skills ... So here we go: First thing to modified was the chassis, i cutted, put the tranny higher and backwards ![]() Made a base for the servo ![]() 4 link system ![]() 4-40 rod ![]() too much flex ![]() Looking for something like this (on flex) ![]() Made my link out of 4-40 rod and a pen (thats right) .. the problem was found the same size/color useless pens in home ... so they came out all different ![]() rear ![]() front ![]() ![]() ![]() Asymmetrical problems ![]() This is a quick mock up beater body ![]() Jeep body which im going to use ![]() Some actual specs Wheel base: 31.7 cm Widht 30.5 cm Narrowed revolvers wheels with maskers 2k 45t motor Mtroniks ESC Hitec 645 servo Stock radio system stock shocks with nikko springs on the rear Now i need to do: - Test the reinforced links - Paint the link and chassis all black - Lower the chassis - Make a skid plate - Solve the asymmetrical problems - Re-lock the front axle, since the glue i putted into its working like a LSD and not a locker - Put the body - put all the electronics in place etc Suggestions? comments? is all welcome Last edited by andres-tavares; 04-03-2009 at 12:21 PM.

do you honestly work on your RC's while they are dirty like that? wow! as for the links...use alloy tubing over the threadrod, looks much better then a pen. other then that, KudOs for the efforts

Pens are a great idea, cheap and easy. If you dont like the mismatch colors just paint them. Easy Fix. Good work on being creative!!!
