Default Double-motor powered wheely-king tuber

This is the wk from Thilo, a friend of mine:

This vid is from the first testride, needs to be dialed-in a bit, but it works:
klick to youtube

It has two esc, two 55turners and two HPI reduction-units that rotate in counter direction, so no torque twist is produced by the motor(s). One axle needs to be flipped for that reason.

Hope you like it ...

"So no transmissions? He's just using reduction units, straight to the axles?"

If that is what you meant, then YES.

Yes,

gearing is a bit on the fast side, but the two motors have enough power for slow speed. But Thilo is thinking of getting the gear ratio a bit slower or using two 85 turners.

Hey greasypete.
Can you get us some details on how he mated the gear reduction output shaft to the drive shaft yokes? He had to go from a 1/8" pinion shaft to either a 5mm or 6mm yoke... Thanks

Easy,

you can get for rc-boats some reduction tubes. That slip over the pinion shaft and has a 5mm outer diameter. I will try to get a picture soon.
