Default project "never done"

well I started my build back in 07, so a little ways back.

Originally was just an average WK with an extended wheelbase: traxxas links, T-max Drive shafts, remounted servo (homemade mount+ linkages) and a new pinion and spur, putty locked diffs. It was that way untill about the summer of 2008.

I designed my own basic chassis and built it using a piece of 1/8 brake line, It is a very sloppy chassis but all the mounting points are measured precisely...ish. I have also modified the motor mount to mount in an Upside down "V" with the Trans, as to get a lower center of gravity.

I made my own suspension linkages for the front with a T-max shaft and the Traxxas links I already had on the rear with a Revo Shaft.

At this point I also locked the rear wheels in position solid using home made linkages (all linkages I make I use 1/8 welding rod and Traxxas rod ends Just have to taper the ends with a file and tap them in... simple enough. but if they do slip out a little crazy glue, or jb weld should hold)

I also found an Integy Lathe 65T and I got for about ten bucks.

and it's sat like this for nearly a year now.

I thought I'd share it with everyone FINALLY and I'm also looking to pick up and work on a few improvements...

Future plans:

- I definitely want to run 4 wheel steering.
- JB weld the diffs. I'm currently running putty locked diffs, which work well but the truck is a lot heavier now and I notice it slips a bit too much.
- I need Better Tires, I want to run narrow tires with metal bbs instead of foam, as to keep the center of gravity as low as possible
- New shocks would be nice. The stock ones are too soft and leak to the point that I just consider them air shocks...

Please ignor the ridiculasly cut up body...

Exclamation Updates

New Wheels and tires!!

Got a set of comp claws and axial beedlocks

I'm also changing my set-up a bit. I'm lengthening the front and shortening the back in order to center the weight a bit.

PICS ARE COMING... should be up later tonight
