Default The "Ledgend" WK Tuber.....

Here is the deal. I have been trying to get this WK tuber from JIA for almost 2 years now! JIA used to have a local comp/get together at our lake here in Augusta Ga. (BTW, this is the largest man made lake in the US!)

So my first time out to one of his events was the first time I saw this rig. I knew then that some how, some way, that someday I would get that rig!

This NON-DIG rig was doing every line and course that every other rig could do and beating them! Granted the "Nation Super Champ" driving it had something to do with that!(JIA):-P

Fast forward to last X-Mas and me and JIA put on the "Crawling for Kids" comp in St. Mountain Ga. We need a rig to set up the courses with that was good. Jason broke out the WK tuber. He had to borrow a RX and battery from me to get her up and going. Yet again this rig set the bar for the whole comp! Enough to make it challenging enough for Austin himself!

Needless to say I finally got it! It has a RC4WD R2 with dig (The dig is locked into 4WD all the time). 6 shooter outrunner motor. Hand made lower links. Aluminum shocks full droop with no springs. Limiting straps on the 3 links front and rear. The 3 link is brazed and made for the chassis. Stock WK axles.

I'm going to keep it 98% how it is. It WORKS!!! I did order some aluminum C's and Knuckles, front CVD's, rear lockouts, rear stright axle, aluminum 3 link mounts for the axle, and aluminum axle link mounts for the front and rear.

So everything is staying the same just beefing it up a bit. I will make some new panels up for it because I want to keep the ones on it from getting trashed. It has a HiTec 645 steering servo now that will go for a JR8711 instead

On to the picts.... I'll update as the parts come in

I saw that thing and had my eye on it the other day!!
But i already have 3 wk's. Looks awesome, Cant wait to see it with the new goodies.
I have been running the CVD's from rcp crawlers in my 2 comp rigs. They have been holding up to the HH motors, Threw a Maxx shaft out and hit a guy in the arm about 20 ft away this weekend!!

Well I'm making some progress. I ordered the parts on the 9th and I got them today To add to me already being PO'ed they sent the wrong steering knuckles! So for now the aluminum 3 links are going on, the aluminum link mounts, and the aluminum hub carriers.

I will NEVER order from them again! After about 10 emails back and forth they did refund my shipping. They told me that it would ship on the 16th......yep, they screwed that up to! They didn't go out till the 18th! Lesson learned.....

I'll get some new pict's up tomorrow

i've got a set of wheely king axles i swapped out of my comp crawler just laying around, i'd like to do a tuber to play around with. my problem is with the axles, when they were in my comp crawler i couldn't keep from breaking front axles. i had mip's in it and it would rip the hole for the pin out. how do you guys keep your axles together?
